Bill tightens security Gates

Bill Gates on Tuesday unveils Microsoft's latest security software tool. It will provide the customers a virtual Internet security to safely store their personal information for online transactions.

The virtual wallet Code-named "InfoCard," will enable Internet users to safely manage their online identities. The aim of Infocard is to enhance the security by reducing dependence on user IDs and passwords, which are vulnerable and mostly targeted by hackers.

The upcoming Windows Vista operating system with Infocard will get benefit by stopping phishing attacks made by hackers. InfoCard will help computer users to protect their personal information such as user ID and password; without having the risk of losing it or getting it stolen by hackers. It will also increase the network security of large organizations.

Infocard will provide the freedom to users to use identification and authentication services without any fear putting the power in the hands of the user.

InfoCard will act as a strongroom or vault that holds multiple identities and other security information, created and managed by the online users. This technology will be available for users later this year, it will support the upcoming Internet Explorer 7 on Vista, Windows XP with Service Pack 2 and the latest version of Windows Server 2003.
